Beautiful Beaches

After 5 days at sea, it felt good to land our feet on terra ferma. Gene picked us up a little after nine and drove to Huntington Beach to pick up Nicia. She was having her condo prepared to be painted so we walked to town and the pier which was a short distance away.

After a nice stroll we headed to Newport Beach to have some lunch.



We then drove to Crystal Beach, which is a nice little State of California treasure. The cottages were once used by the Hollywood elite but after awhile were run down and abandoned. The State rents the cottages out with still more to renovate. It is a cozy little spot and we had a beer there too before heading back to drop off Nicia and then us at the San Pedro pier.
