We Are Going To Cancun!

This is our first post so forgive us if it's a bit long...there's just so much to talk about!

As many of you know, the current state of the economy here in the U.S. has created a ton of incredible travel oppurtunities. Devin and I have been following these deals very closely lately, especially the cruise deals which are downright ludicrous right now! Well, to make a long story short we finally came across one that really clicked and we just had to book it. We settled on a 7 night/7day all-inclusive resort on the Riviera Maya, Mexico. The resort is located 45 minutes south of Cancun and 10 minutes north of Playa del Carmen.

For those who don't know all-inclusive resorts are basically like cruise ships in that everything is included for one general low price. But, unlike cruising, alcohol, entertainment(water sports and certain other non motorized activities) and the spa is also included in the price. And when you add the fact that you are able to spend a longer period of time in one location, it really is quite an incredible deal.

We decided to get the package deal and so will be flying roundtrip out of San Francisco Airport. All told the entire vacation is going to cost us approximatly 850 dollars per person. Not bad for 7 days and 7 nights of awesome tropical relaxation. Needless to say Devin and I are going to take full advantage of all the activities offered at the resort, including the multiple resturants, nightclubs, and bars with their "unlimited drinks" policy...by drinking plenty of water of course!!! Who do you think we are anyways 😉

Yesterday I finished printing out the last of the travel vouchers that we are going to need. Our flight tickets and boarding passes are electronic (I love the internet!) we also bought travel insurance...just in case. The rest of the week will be spent creating a list of all of the things we need to do and get for our trip...starting with suitecases. 😊

Speaking of which...does anyone have any old luggage that they could loan us? It would be greatly appreciated!
