Monterey on a Sunny Day

Another beautiful day in Monterey. The sky was clear and there was very little fog, nothing like we have experienced before. Talked to a woman who loved my earrings and wanted to know about Santa Fe when she learned we were from there.

Decided to walk down to town and spend some time at the Trailside Cafe and charge up all our equipment that needed to be charged. This is one of the downsides on non electric sites but we will prevail. Was an enjoyable walk with all the different flowers blooming along the way. of course looking at the various types of architecture was interesting as well.

Got to the Trailside Cafe, found a table with two plugs nearby and were all plugged in and charging. Had lunch that was quite nice, worked on travel stories and did some blogging. Finally it was time to go.

Walked down the waterfront past all the tourist shops and tourists and decided to stop in at Schooners and have an appetizer and drink. Managed to get a table overlooking the water and were rewarded by several otters swimming around on their backs. There were a lot of kayaks out observing nature as well. Was a nice time, sun, water and animals.

From there we continued on our walk down the waterfront and stopped to enjoy some of the fountains along the way. As usual there were several groups of divers that were either just getting in the water or getting out.

Decided to eat dinner at Massaro y Santos out looking over the marina. We were able to get a table outside and could see the boats moving in the breeze, people walking to and from their boats and just sitting on their boats having a drink.

From there we walked on down Fisherman's Wharf and then to the London Pub where we had a final drink before calling for a taxi and going home.
