After a long 10 days on the road, and a lot of miles behind us (nearly 3,700 on my bike since leaving Virginia, and over 4,000 on Dad's), we had a really easy day today. We left Monterey this morning and our first stop was in Salinas at Cycle Stop, a Honda dealership where dad got an oil change on his bike. I ran out to pick up a few things we needed at Target while he waited for his bike, and I missed all the fun! A California Highway Patrol officer stopped at the dealership and Dad was talking to him for about a half hour. He rides a Honda Goldwing also, but has modified it to run on a car tire in the rear.
