Debbie and two hairy beasts...
Howday Y'all

We're in Hollywood, L.A now. It's our last day here. We've had a quick stop (3 nights) but well worth it. The weather's great and we couldn't believe the location of the hostel. It's on Hollywood boulevard, practically opposite the Kodak theatre (where the oscars are held).

The first full day here we spent at universal studios, big, cheesy and a lot of fun. We did the tour and we managed to see Bruce Willis (they're filming Die Hard 4) but he hid before anyone could take a photo. There's lots of shows and rides at the studio and as it's off season we managed to go on/see all of them. Even though waterworld the film isn't too clever, the show is and fortunately we were sat just outside of the "soak zone" so we didn't get too wet. The terminator 3D show is pretty weird with a mix of 3D, live action and moving chairs. We decided to go for an "all you can eat" pass at the studios which we made full use off. We ate about 4 times, were absolutely stuffed and we left carrying out cookies to take back to the hostel 😊

I'm good with animals. I try to feed them if I have food to spare.
After the park we had a look in the shops and even though we're trying not to buy anything, guess what? Debbie bought a watch from Fossil. It is a lot cheaper to buy them here though.

2nd day we had free to wonder, we visited Grauman's Chinese Theatre (as it's about 2 minutes away). That's the place where all the big premieres happen and it's where the stars leave footprints and handprints. Mine seemed to fit Johnny Depp's quite well. We also wanted to see the inside so we got tickets for the film palying, the hitcher (remake). The film wasn't very good but it's worth it to see the inside of the place. Apparently the official premiere is tonight. We were also introduced to a mexican fast food place, Baja fresh. Really nice food, like subway, made fresh but you get burritos, tacos, quasidillas, etc. These were at least a little bit more healthy than the day before as they came with salad...

Today we've been on a tour of L.A and places nearby. We went to:

* Santa Monica
* Venice Beach
* Marina Del Rays
* Mullholland Drive (good views of Hollywood sign)

Anyway in a few hours we've off to Fiji, nearly 11 hours flying! Till next time, that's all folks.

The Hitcher...?
You paid money to see the remake of The Hitcher? ...I still may not have forgiven you by the time you get back. Be warned. Did you visit the spot near the LAX runways where Neil McCauley was killed by Vincent Hanna in the documentary Heat? I believe there is a commemorative plaque... At least there better be...
