Michael and I have been in L.A. (the Glendale area) for 2 nights so far staying at Michael's friends apartment Dave. He is cool. I am sleeping on his couch and Michael was sleeping on this guy who lives there's bed, Tommy, because he was away in North California (NorCal) for a few days. However, he just got back about an hour ago, so Michael will probably sleep on the floor. It is better than paying for a place to stay though!
Before we left San Francisco we went and saw Mina and Naya for lunch. They made us lunch. It was nice. I don't know why, but they were really sad to see us go. I wasn't attached to them or anything, they were cool, but not enough to cry over when leaving. Anyway.... I slept for most of the drive to L.A. I kind of feel bad for Michael, because he didn't get to sleep in the car at all. The only time I woke up was to take pictures of a mountain.....
So... My camera is completely busted. Totally broken. I can no longer take pictures. Or video. Or even turn my camera on. It's because
of those mountains. If I try to turn it on it makes a beeping and a clicking noise at the same time, the lens comes out, and then the lens goes right back in. I'm pretty sure that is a bad thing. It sucks because I have taken like almost 1000 pictures so far, but I'm not done. I just got to L.A.!
I was trying to take a picture while we were driving 80 miles per hour, so I stuck the camera out the window and I think the force of the wind totally busted the camera up. I think the force of the wind at 80 mph is almost like dropping it at high speeds. Not good, I am really, really dumb and stupid. So the last picture I took was of this awesome mountain range while the camera was hanging out of the car at 80 mph. It looks cool though. Kind of out of focus though, most likely because it was getting ready to break completely.
So, I'm going to add the last of my photos in this entry and then I can't take anymore unless I get a disposable digital camera (I think
they have those), or if Michael decides to get a camera. I probably won't get this one fixed for a while.
So far in Glendale/L.A. we haven't done much except for stay awake until the sun came up and watch movies all night. The first night they watched a bunch while I was off on my computer and phone, but then came back and watched What Dreams May Comes. They watched Cloverfield and some other movie too. I think Scream. By "them" I mean Dave, Natasha, and the russians. They just call them the Russians. They all live in 2 different apartments but I've been told that there are about 10 in each apartment. They must sleep on the floor every night. I've only met 3 of them I think. The Russians call Dave The American and Dave called them The Russian. Like.... "Hey Russian!"
Yesterday I slept until 5PM which is amazing... because in hostels you have to wake up and check out by 11AM usually. And sleeping in a car the sun always wakes you up at like 9AM. So, sleeping until 5:30PM and still have darkness inside is amazing. After Dave got home from woke
we went to Hollywood on Hollywood Boulevard with Michael, Dave, Natasha, Nick (one of the Russians), and myself. We drove there in Dave's car that is from the future. It is a 2009, so it it a time machine that goes into the future when you step inside and back to the past when you step outside of it.
Hollywood Boulevard was pretty cool. All the stars on the ground were nice... even if I didn't know most of them. There also were a much of signatures and hand and foot prints in this one area, and I didn't know most of those names either. Although there were some awesome ones like Jhonny Depp and Clint Eastwood and whatnot. Clint Eastwood's hand print's were the deepest, like he was doing push ups while his hands were in wet cement.
On Hollywood Boulevard we went to this place called Mel's Drive In Diner. It didn't look like you could drive up in your car and order food though. But, it was okay. The waitress looked miserable, and one thing she said was "Here is your check, you can pay at the front counter, and do not run from it."
She seemed very unhappy, but I imagine that she gets a lot of tips in that area. It seems just like International Drive in Orlando, Florida because it is very touristy and a lot of people go there to go to clubs and see the sights and what not. I used to think Hollywood was just a bunch of warehouses, but I was wrong. People actually live there and there are a lot of bums partying on the street.
We just went to Ralph's. It's kinda like an Albertson's or Acme, but it was in the movie The Big Lebowski. Michael bought chicken and he was able to cook it! Kitchens are cool. I bought Cup o' Noodles. I also bought a toothbrush because I thought I lost mine, but it turns out that it was in the bottom of my bag. Geez, it was $6 too. It was an expensive toothbrush, but I only like the expensive ones because they feel good and it feels like they clean your teeth way better than any other cheap toothbrush. It's okay though, I haven't opened it, so I will save it.
Also, Dave has a Chinchilla named Grrrr and
he is so awesome.

I will probably write again, just to say what I've been doing, but without pictures.
