Six weeks from today I will be on a plane to London - my gateway to my ultimate destination, Scotland. I would say I am 50% prepared. My passport application has been submitted. I will feel a lot better when it is in my hands. My travel bag has arrived - the small one intended for 3 weeks of ultra light travel. I have all but 3 nights of lodging booked. I have purchased a mobile phone which will have a UK number but haven't looked at how to activate it. My ipad is ordered so I can stay connected - although the delivery date of 28 April is awfully close to my 3 May departure. I still have so much to plan for when I get there.
I will update this weekly until I go - hopefully observing progress in my preparations.

Thanks for the link. It's all going to happen so quickly ! You will really need that break in Scotland, to get over the visits to the unique establishments you have lined up in central London. lol
