From Chaos to Solitude

Today is Halloween day in the USA and it’s a freaking huge event! Pardon the pun!
We checked out of the hostel and drove down sunset boulevard. The bit that passes through west Hollywood is pretty fancy. All the houses have big fences and security gates. Everyone is in a hurry. I was meandering along at a tourist pace and I was getting honked at to go faster! Crickey! Where is the fire?
After driving around a much less impressive part of Hollywood and wondering where the sunset strip was we headed out of town for Death Valley National park. It took us longer than expect and it was dark by 5 pm as day light saving had kicked in yesterday. So we found a campsite at an RV park and setup tent in the desert!
