For the first time there were no bikes awaiting us...felt at a bit of a loss, but the sun is shining and we are still in California. Booked a rental car for tomorrow, but in the meantime we exchanged our means of transport to the pedal variety and pedalled the old borrowed treaders down to Claremont village, did a couple of chores, had lunch and cycled back up the hill. It was actually 96 degrees in the shade, real hot, so had a nice dip in the pool to cool off. Maggie was right when she said it was just the one dream that had ended, there were still others to be had.
