1st day

Our first day.....peered out of the glass door to check out the main house and garden. James had put both bikes out for us, and they sat gleaming in the sun waiting for us. They look as good as they did in the photos. The Tuckers are wonderfully friendly and helpful and we spent most of the day shopping with James for bike and camping gear. We bought 2 helmets, one flip top one plain full face, pair of smart gloves for me. Tried on a smart pair of boots, right size, comfortable, good price, but the zip jammed and I got stuck in them! James, Jim and the shop assistant all had a go trying to unjam it, and got there eventually. They are going to get another pair in for Monday, which is when we now plan to leave, so will attempt to find the shop again on our way out of town.

So much to get ready we haven't had time to ride the bikes! The Newcastle brown James keeps giving us doesn't help with that either.

But a good start, though still a little daunting with lots still on the shopping list.
