So today was the beginning of our journey down Highway 1 or the Pacific Coastal Highway. We couldn't leave the campsite until after 9am when the office opened, as we needed to return our key for the showers etc. to get our $5 deposit back. The roads out of San Francisco were not as busy as those in and we soon found ourselves linking across onto the famous CA-1 at Half Moon Bay. The weather was quite cool and cloudy and as we followed the contours of the coast, instead of beautiful bays of white sand and azure blue sea under a brilliant blue sky,it looked like the east coast on a cold day!! Geo: 36.4797, -121.731We arrived bright and early to the harbor in Monterey, where the trolley was picking us up. We ended up with most of a trolley to ourselves (there were two). I think people realize we were a bachelorette party and wanted as much space as possible from us.The Trolley drove us up into Carmel Valley away from the coast to a bunch of wineries. It basically stopped at one and we just walked around to the rest. We ate our provided boxed lunches at one of the wineries, and then continues on to more. We probably went to five or so in total. 14 septembre: Capitola - Watsonville 15 septembre: Watsonille - Marina 16 septembre: Marina - Carmel Valley 17 septembre: Carmel Valley Du State Park New Brighton (Capitola) au State Park Sunset (Watsonville) le 14 septembre. Nous avons déjeuné avec le groupe de familles Californiens. Ils ont été, comme le soir précédent, tous très gentils. Ils nous ont offert à manger avec eux. Par la suite, nous sommes allés sur la plage et avons pris la direction de Santa Cruz. Nous avons acheté des jetons (12,00$) et un verre à vin (8,00$) afin de pouvoir déguster des vins ( 2,3 ou 4 jetons par dégustation) au festival de l'art et des vins de Capitola.
