Windsurfing is Ali’s passion. (Well that and goats…….and dogs and tegus and painting, and wedding cakes and so forth and so on…..) Anyway, Bodega Bay is close by, so when the wind and tide converge to create the right conditions, we pack up wetsuits, boards, sails, food and dogs and head for the water. It is inspiring to watch Ali step on her board and take off like a speeding bullet, skimming across the white capped water with grace and seeming ease. (She assures me, it’s harder than it looks.) I haven’t yet tried it, though I probably will someday.
While Ali’s speeding around, Quito and I bob in the waves on the boogie board. It’s totally invigorating and fun!
