Where: Tilden Park, Berkeley
Highlights: Little farm, mini train of the redwood valley & a carousel ride
Mileage: 100 mi
Realizing that a trip exclusively for the little one was pending, we made a stop at the not-so-far-away
Tilden Park. It is one of the largest & oldest parks of the area.
We all became kids for a day & it was a total blast despite the heat of the day!
The little one had so much fun feeding the farm animals at the Little farm. You are allowed to bring in celery & lettuce to feed the animals.
Farm animals include cows, calves, baba black sheep, goatee goats, geese, turkeys, hens & lovely bunny rabbits.
A short scary ride on the carousel & we began wondering if she is the wee wee baby. She was so scared & wouldn't let go of me throughout the ride.
Little S was looking out eagerly for the train ride but when she heard the choo-choo of the steam engine, she wanted to cry. The fact that she said choo choo train back at home is a different point altogether, though.
It was a fun day at
the park.
