To San Diego

Yesterday we did some laundry, and bopped around SLO until 4pm. Then we headed for LA...we were trying to miss the bulk of traffic. We did very well, hit a slow patch around 6pm in Santa Barbara. There were MANY off-shore oil rigs...we're going to have to research that...had no idea!!! Then it was fairly smooth sailing through LA. G wasn't ready to stop yet, but we did need fuel, so finally found a Shell station off the freeway and got fuel and a burger. Ate headed down the freeway, and made it almost to Oceanside, where we stopped at a rest area. They let you stay for 8 hours, so we snuggled in and slept there.

Got up this morning at 5:30 and hit the road again. We hadn't found any good options in San Diego, so we headed for a casino about 30 miles east. I've been doing a little surfing this morning trying to get something a little closer to town. Have some options, but as it's still early, will get my shower in and get around for the day and then call...wish us luck!!!
