Edit Blog Post

This is my first blog so forgive me with the technicalities of the blogs. Recently I visited the Arkansas state of USA and would like to share my travel experience with you.

The city of Ponca having the Whitaker point and the lost valley trail were the center of my visit. If you are on a weekend tour these two places will be a nice choice to visit in Arkansas.

Either you stay in the cabins of the Buffalo outdoor center or in the hotels of the nearest city of Harrison. The trip can be started with the visit of the Whitaker point also known as the hawksbill craig. It is one of the most photographed location. It would be a hiking of some 3 miles both sides in order to view the point. The hiking is moderate and can be done by any one. Be careful a bit as the Whitaker point is at height and childrens should not be left unattended. Please remember

Directions from Ponca- Take highway 43 south to hgwy 21. After two miles turn right on gravel road #9560 and continue till six miles, Its a gravel road and you will think you are on wrong way but believe me thats the road to reach the trail head. Before 1/4 mile of the trail head you will come across a cemetery. once you reach the parking lot, its a small one. Park the car and start the hiking, its on the left side of the road...

adding photographs for detail, enjoy the Hawksbill craig
