Entering Arkansas from the west you are into Ozark country. We got off the I-40 at Ozark and drove part of the Pig Trail which is a popular route for motorcycle riders.Very scenic with lots of abandoned farms as well as country estates hidden in the trees. Back on th I-40 we passed a large lake. It is so nice to see hills and green again after days of flat and brown. We got lost finding our hotel in Little Rock and ended up in a neighbourhood which we decided was not a good place to be. There were many nice older homes most in disrepair but some were being restored. Obviously the area had at one time been a nice area. Eating at restaurants is very reasonable. Wages for waiters are very low - $2.63 / hr. Their real money is in the tips. Restaurants are very busy. Tomorrow we head for Memphis.
