Kayaking on Lake Powell from Wahweap Marina launch

Finally the wind calmed down and we were able to head over to the marina to get out on the lake. Seems we just don't get moving very quickly and got there, inflated the boat and then fixed ourselves a avocado and sprout sandwich before we set off.

Took the truck back up to the parking lot and then we were off! It was a beautiful and sunshiny day and there were not many boats out on the water. As usual, the distance to the other side is deceptive and it is really quite a distance to the other side.

You can tell the Lake is down even more than it was in January when we were here last but we were able to glide along the shore on the other side. Had a very nice time out there and then headed back to the shore where we broke the boat down, loaded it up and headed back to the campground.

Fixed stuffed peppers for dinner and relaxed after a great day on the water.
