Quail Run RV Park On January 14 we headed to our first RV Rally the infamous Quartzsite RV rally in the middle of nowhere Arizona. We were excited. We met up with Stan and Georgann at the Quail Run RV Park where we would get the rigs ready for the 5 day stay in the desert without electricity, water or dump hookups "Boon Docking". We were joining their Safari RV group and were known as the SOB's Some Other Brand. The Safari brand has beautiful murals on the back of their coaches. During the day we would venture over to the acres of venders set up with everything from crafts, to tools, kitchen gadgets, clothes and especially food.
On the 16th we went to the BLM Bureau of Land Management location that the wagon master had selected and where all the RV's were circled up around a huge campfire ring. Pat, Bernadette, Georgann, and Stan plenty of water left, we will definitely be seeking it out as often as possible on our other outings.
Friday the "Big Tent" opened for business with all the venders mostly aimed toward RVers. A vender that had a process to read your tanks better so that when you "Boon Dock" you could make sure you still had water and hadn't filled up your grey tank, or black tank. There was also a booth that sold flag pole set ups and we all got one.
We had such a great time with Stan and Georgann and met a lot of their friends. What a welcoming group. Thanks for having us.
