Short Flight from Anchorage to Fairbanks.

Here are a few shots of lovely Fairbanks. It's -38 right now but there's no wind so it's not as bad as you might think...ok, it is that bad.

The picture of Mt. McKinley was taken from the airplane. It's the tallest mountain in North America at just above 20,000 feet. The other two pictures are of the ice festival. We're going to go get more pictures today or tomorrow, it was only -16 when these pictures were taken so you'll see we are still wearing jeans (with really thick longjohns).

I am really enjoying it here, it's an adventure. The people are "a different breed" to say the least. More on that later.

Yes, the chair is made of ice like everything else in the shot, that includes the martini glass on the podium

People never really lived in these...did they? I'm not a big guy and even I barely fit. The only reason I'm smiling is that I'm 80 feet from my hotel, shower, and heat!!!!
