Thursday, June 18th 2009 This trip to Alaska was born at Red Rock Cafe in Mountain View, when I was talking to my friends K and S one evening not longer than 2 months ago. For the longest time I wanted to visit the northernmost United State and... here I am! I have a lot of hope in this trip and I know this is not going to disappoint me. Day #4. Robert. We have been in Millbrook, Alabama since Monday the June 1st at 11:30PM. We are visiting Mary's parents and will stay here until Sunday June 7th. We left Baton Rouge early this morning in order to get a good start on the day. We drove the hour to New Orleans and decided to look around the le Quartier Francais. First, however, we stopped at the information center so that we wouldn't be too lost as we ambled the streets. The guy was EXTREMELY nice and helpful, our first taste of true "Southern hospitality" (although maybe it actually began in Baton Rouge with our friendly waitress at Cracker Barrel). The man gave me a lot of hints and places that we needed to go to get a good feel for the quarter and city. Lost In America H. Wayne Cleghorn January 2009 In 2008, after watching the movie Bucket List, my wife presented me with an empty note book. The only writing in the book was at the top of the first page. It simply said, “Wayne’s Bucket List”. If you haven’t seen the movie, the character played by Morgan Freeman finds out he has terminal cancer. He begins to make a list of all the things he wants to do before he “kicks the bucket”. For a long time I would pick the book up and just look at it. Then one day I wrote something down. A few weeks later came something else.
