We have entered the Black Warrior River which is part of the Tenn-Tom Waterway.

A fine day in the water after a good night's sleep. Lots of smoke on the water in the mornings as the nights are cool. We covered 69 miles today and only transited through one lock. This is pleasure boating at it's best. We are now 1363 miles into our 2000 mile journey but the big hurtle is yet to come, the Gulf of Mexico.

Calm and quiet with very little traffic and endless miles of wilderness, no industrial sites and few homes. We saw some wild turkeys and deer to compliment our usual assortment of birds. There is evidence of tropical foliage including missal toes and Spanish moss. Some white cliffs here and there for a short stretch is a mystery.

We are anchored across from a park and a Coast Guard Station tonight in Foscue Creek near Demopolis Alabama. It promises to be a restful night.
