We made it! It was a long day but we're here in one piece. No troubles at all other than a Campeche State cop who bitched us out for not having our dogs in cages. He said it was a state law that all dogs in vehicles must be in cages. He gave us a nasty look and then let us go though so all is ok. There must be something about our van because every time we went through any type of checkpoint...police or military, we were stopped.

We love the cabin we are in, nice big secure yard for the dogs to run in. It is a two cabin property but no one is in the other cabin so we have it to ourselves. There's a nice open-air, traditional cocina next door so Jill went over there and bought some dinner for us and it was great.

Sorry I didn't take photos along the way but will make sure to do that tomorrow. We'll leave early and head to Cordoba. We'll be staying here: https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/5317484

Hi Mo! This was in a town north of Villahermosa called Comalcalco. We would have preferred something closer to the highway but just happy to find someone who takes this many dogs.
