First thing, we tried a swim in the pool adjacent to our bungalow. This ended instantly in failure, either because the water was too cold or because I put the baby in too fast. We went back to the room, reset, and then headed down to the beach again. After an hour we came back and took a nap.

After Carmen's nap we went out and fed her some McDonald's french fries (trying to get her to gain some weight and she likes them). Back at the nearby grocery stores, we bought some more pop tarts. When leaving, I managed to scrape the front fender of the car on an oddly placed pole in the parking garage. Luckily it mostly hit a rubber protector, but still it's going to take some effort to avoid the rental police.

In the evening we parked at the mall on Quinta Ave and walked along the tourist strip down to the park where some locals were performing a Mayan dance. The avenue is pedestrian-only and reminds me of a mostly chill "foreign tourist zone". Lots of overpriced restaurants ready to serve, but the touts aren't that aggresive (but are a little bit).
