If it wasn't for bad luck, we'd have no luck at all with our kitchen appliances. Our coffee maker is now leaking so bad that it's pretty much unusable. Then, while Ian is making breakfast, our toaster starts on fire and burns out, at the same time our microwave decides to pack it in and there's no power to it at all. They are all super cheap appliances to start with. Our maintenance guy, Tony, comes by to check out the coffee maker, then he brings us another one which is obviously not new. I put some water in it and turn it on, the light comes on but the water doesn't process so he takes it away. Then he checks out the toaster and microwave and proceeds to take them both away also. So basically we end up with no appliances in our kitchen at all, I guess it gives us more room on our counters. Whatever, we aren't going to let that wreck our day.

John graduates from scuba school today at Dive Paradise so he's officially now Scuba John, PADI certified diver. Way to go Johnny!!

It's another beautiful sunny day, a nice breeze keeps it a very comfortable temperature. After lunch, Ian and John go scootering around town with no particular destination in mind, just sight seeing. I stay at here at the pool to let them have some guy time together. Then we all head over to Cinepolis movie theatre to catch Hansel and Gretel in 3D. Oh my gosh, 3D has come a long way since we last saw one. The images come to life right off the screen!! Witches flying around, swords and rocks are flying at us from off the screen, it's truly amazing. And, it's no kiddie movie, Hansel and Gretel are witch hunters with full on violence, people getting squished, heads cut off, even a little nudity. We highly recommend seeing it if you get the opportunity but certainly don't take any kids. It is truly amazing visual effects and an experience we will not soon forget.

We see a must-buy T-shirt in Chedraui for John, El Barto - too funny!

Afterwards we hit Le Chef for dinner, it's my favorite restaurant in Cozumel. I have a smoked salmon baguette, John has the lobster bacon sandwhich and Ian gets tuna saltimbocca (tuna steak wrapped in proscuitto.) All our meals are out of this world good, just fantastic! Le Chef is more French cafe style, but even in Mexico you can't eat Mexican food every day. I stand by my belief that La Chef is the best restaurant on the Island and after today's fabulous dinner, I think Ian and John agree. We scooter back to the condo which is the first time we've scootered here in the dark but it's well lit here and everything is just fine. Tomorrow is John's last full day here, it's been really great to have him here with us - time is flying by way just way too fast!!
