Hotel
Hotel I was staying at. Made to Guadalajara late at night got off the bus and there is a taxi waiting for me. I expected to see tall building like New York City the tallest building was a American Hotel I think it was a Hilton Hotel about 20 floors most of the build were 8 to 10 floors. Couldn't see much at night a lot of traffic every one going home from work big factories on my way to hotel. The name of my hotel is Hotel Portobelo didn't expect such a nice hotel walked in and my they had my reservation they gave me my key card and went to my room. It is a nice room big bed and very comfortable, took a shower and there was plenty of hot water and a lot of pressure. I went straight to bed and didn't wake up until 9:00 am got some much needed sleep. Went and had breakfast in the hotel a buffet with plenty fresh fruit and real orange juice. After breakfast I went to my room pick up my Camera and was on my way out the door to explore the city. Went to a few churches the are any where from
Church
One of the old churches in Guadalajara four hundred to six hundred years old, that is a lot of year to be standing. There is all so a lot of old building around the churches. There is a lot of little business sport shops, clothing and candy stores and what ever you can think of. I must of walked ten miles there is so much to see I need to go back and stay a few weeks to be able to see more of Guadalajara. The next day I had sign up of a tour to Lake Chapala I have always wanted to this lake because I have pictures of my grandfather and grandmother of them being there at one time you were able to take the train from Juarez to Guadalajara and my grandparents always went on a train when they went on vacation. There was a picture of them on a boat and they still have boat rides. We spent about three hours there before going to a restaurant a long the lake I didn't eat anything because I had eaten at a food stand I had Caldo de Res and it was delicious. On our way back we stopped at a restaurant a long
Church
Inside of church the lake and the people I made friends with had me sit at there table and they had some sea food. On our way to Lake Chapala we stopped at Vicente Fernandez horse ranch and he just happen to be there. Vicente Chente Fernandez Gomez is a Mexican recording singer, actor, and film producer Nicknamed as El Rey de la Ranchera (The King of Ranchera Music), Fernadez started his career singing for tips on the street and has since become a cultural icon, recording more than 50 albums and contributing to more than 30 films. I was able to meet him and take a picture with him, all my friends from Mexico were jealous of me.
