Rick and I took the bus into Ajijic in time for the Sunday Zayacas parade. There were a few more costumed men/boys in the parade then before and they were all having a great time. I think there was more flour and confetti being thrown this Sunday over last Sunday.

When we had watched the parade go by us in both directions, we went for lunch rather than follow the crowd to the bullring.



We chose the Peacock restaurant which is right in the centre of town. Once you go through the archway into the restaurant you would never imagine that you were anywhere near town it is so peaceful and serene with a large grassy area and beautiful gardens. That’s the first impression, then, the parrot starts calling to you and the chickens and peacocks come by to see if you are willing to share any food with them. The food was good and it was an enjoyable place to eat. We will definitely return.
