Valles del Oeste is located nearby Durango, and the main reason that brought me up to here was to see with my eyes the "Tierra del cine" where the great western movies were shot with unforgettable actors like: John Wayne, Charles Bronson and Clark Gable.
It was really exciting being in such a famous place and to admire all the location of the best scenes shot here.
But that day nobody was there and on suggestion of the taxy driver I went in.
He said that, at times, there is anyone to take care of the place and so I had a tour by myself.
It is basically one street or paseo with all the shops and meson to the sides.
Most of them were locked but luckily one was still opened and I entered it.
It was a two-stories saloon with some of the furnitures still inside like they were ready to shoot the scene in a moment.
There was a counter with the seats and tables to the sides and a ceiling lamp just right in the
middle of the corridor with some glare entering to the foreground.
Just next to the stairway there was an image of John Wayne starring in a movie and upstairs a little square table with a bottle of beer on it and a couple of chairs facing each other.
Straight ahead was an empty room and also inside there was a picture of John Wayne, in action, and a dresser.
Back outside, at the end of the street, there was the Lincoln Cemetery with the crosses of all the actors that are now gone.
Even though it's been for a short time it will always be an unforgettable sight in memory of those great people that made the history of the western movies..
