Dos Cabrones
at the Phil with Gregorio, Liverpool Hola!
(English here and Español abajo) Well, I’ve been back from East Arica for about two months now, so it’s about time I jetted off again…!
Since I’ve been back I’ve done some work producing newsletters back at the community organisation I've been working for in North Wales, had an ace trip with Harry to Paris and Madrid (where we watched the first leg of Liverpool’s Champions League tie against Real), attended a fantastic University reunion in a cottage we hired just near my house, had my Mexican mate Gregorio over to visit, and generally done my best to catch up with as many friends and family members as possible, whilst attending Anfield most weeks! In a bid to learn a bit more about the fields of International Development and Human Rights, which I want to work in, I also went to London last week, where I was lucky enough to meet with Department Heads from various INGOs.
And whilst I am still eating crumpets and drinking tea at home near Oswestry as I write this, I will very soon begin my year of work for an NGO in Mexico. I fly out on Monday to Mexico City,
Cuatro Cabrones!
in the pub with Sion, Wayne and Gregorio, Oswestry where I'll train some more before transferring out to the team in the field.
Anybody who wants to know a bit more about what I'm up to can feel free to email me! If you haven't got my email, then send me a private message via this! Also, if any of my friends and family are keen to understand more about the situation of human rights in Mexico, feel free to send me a message and I’ll happily recommend a few books or DVDs, some of which are available from ‘Benito’s Library’ near Oswestry…
I’ll have internet access in Mexico, so I’m hoping that keeping in touch won’t be too difficult, although I have been warned that I will be very busy. Unfortunately, given the sensitive nature of my work out in Mexico I'll have to pack the blog in for the next year. However, I'll give it an update about all things Mexican when I return! As usual, emails and messages from friends and family will be really very much appreciated!!!
So all that’s left is for me to get packed in time to enjoy a decent curry with my family and a few pints of
Grubs up!
Getting stuck into an array of curries at our R&G Reunion, Nantmawr real ale with me friends, before I leave.
Keep in touch!
Love,
Ben 😊
Y en Español…. Hello!
More!
Love,
Ben 😊
