These pictures are taken at the Palacio Nacional which functions as the offices of the president.
All the murals are painted by Diego Rivera. It depicts the mexican civilization and the daily life of its people. I just love the painting, every painting tells a story. It is a good way to learn the history by just admiring the painting without reading through paragraph and paragraph of writing. Very convenient for lazy people, i.e me.

Apparently, this is the location where Aztec emperor Moctezuma built the first palace, which later was destroyed by the spaniard, Cortes. He rebuilt it with 3 interior courtyard. This explains the spanish influenced architecture.
