Hello, well, we made it to Chiapas, after 3 more car searches, and a trip back to the belize border, we are finally legal in mexico. crossing the border in texas, we were never stopped, we carried on for 4.ooo miles until we had to turn around. It all delayed us only a day, and after a misty mountain drive, we can relax again in this beautiful town. Tulum was gorgeous too. We rented a cabaña for $20 a night on the beach, welcomed a couple crabs, and two stray cats during the day. Good thing for the portable stove and coffee maker. I could have stayed at that beach for weeks. witnessed a funeral today.everyone walked the main square behind cars filled with flowers, and musicians leading. horseback riding yesterday into the across a busy intersection, and into the mountains. Our guide was a local boy, 14, the horses were nice.
going out tonight, saw and alligator today, and tons of white egrets.
thanks for reading, be back soon,
anna
