Palenque
+ Hippy Nat Hiya, its Nat here again.
So, we´re in the jungle! There are some amazing Mayan ruins at a place called Palenque, and we are hostelled in a little bit of jungle just outside which has a stream, cabanas, and bizarrely a restaurant making some of the best pizza I´ve ever had (apart from the hideaway of course!) and wicked local bands playing.
A local kid of about 3 got very into it all last night - he kept climbing up on the stage and in the end the bongo player got up and put the kid down in front of the drums and got him to play - not very rhythmic but very amusing! The jungle is very fragrant apart from one bit of the stream which smells exactly like Glastonbury and almost had me feeling homesick for a moment (as well as having me covering my nose with my sleeve). Today we´ve been off to Misol Ha (massive jungle waterfall) for a dip, and to Agua Azul (amazing cascades) and are moving on tomorrow.
Update: its now Friday and we´re in Campeche, a town by the sea slightly further north. Apparently the sunsets are amazing so we´re
Palenque Tower
Mayan for Leith Hill! going for a sunset run along the seafront - our first in over two weeks!
Hope all is well with everyone, keep us updated with the gossip from home.

P.S. a message to subscribers from Si! Read the version of his blogs on the website which has the spelling mistakes corrected by Nat, rather than the version that goes out to you in the email!
P.P.S. we are adding photos on to old blogs as and when we get them, so have a look at some old ones for some pics.
