Mexico here we come!

Okay, so for no particular reason other than to do something spontaneous we decided to pack up and head to Ensenada this weekend for a camping trip and a venture to La Bufadora.

We get there with minimal traffic, drive around until we find the ocean and a camping spot, come to find out there are many camping spots, so the rest of the day we drove up to camp site after camp site. One was specifically memorable, it was a giant hill that looked far enough away from the road to be quiet, there was a huge cloud covering most of it, we all walked up to it and agreed this was the spot, until the clouds cleared and we saw it wasn't actually as beautiful and amazing as the clouds made it out to be, but after that we found THE spot. It overlooked the ocean and much to our surprise we had a private rocky beach down below.

That night after setting up our tents we recorded a music jam and Brad and I spinning fire (might as well take advantage of the open space). The next morning we went down to the water and hung out for a bit before heading to La Bufadora.

La Bufadora was interesting.. there were tons of people trying to sell everything you could think of, which we didn't really take part in until we came across the churros 😊 Over all a pretty fun yet foggy experience.

When the time came to head home the real adventure started. We tried to get into the border crossing line back into CA but kept getting turned away by the guards and had to circle back around many miles, finally desperately we crammed into a line. 2 hours later we realized we were in the wrong line and there was nothing we could do about it. We were hoping they "wouldn't mind" and that "people make this mistake all the time" and we'd be okay, well it sort of went like that. We ended up in the century express line by accident, when it was time to hand over the passports they directed us to a holding area where we then had to wait for an hour while we all had our backgrounds checked and were given a stern talking to that next time we entered this line we'd receive a 5,000 fine, yikes! Finally free and clear, we then start to notice the car smoking and the inevitable break down of the jeep came moments later 😞

Now at a gas station we called for AAA. It took the guy 3 hours to get to us, along with much argument before we finally got the car to a mechanic, the guy left without even offering us a ride home, jerk! Well, if nothing else it was certainly a adventure. Glad to be home!
