The silver mine built in 1760 at that time employed 11000 people making San Antonio a booming town. Mexicans as well as immigrants from France, China and England. The tower was built by the French designer whom built the Ifle tower in Paris. Still standing but desolate since 1860 San Antonio now just a small tourist town.
