This morning we cover about 70 miles of the same road that we traveled yesterday again passing Muncho Lake and Liard Hot Springs. As we get started we hit some road construction, and as we come to a stop we look to our right and there are some buffalo grazing along the right of way as if the construction crew had placed them there for our enjoyment.
As we travel through Watson Lake toward Whitehorse the temperature begins dropping, unofficially around 43, officially pretty dadgum cool seeing as about three weeks ago we were all in 100+ degree temperatures. The weather goes from bad to worse. We now are looking at snow capped mountains, and begins a light but very cold rain.
Traveling through the Southern Lakes Region of the Yukon we cross the third longest bridge on the Alcan Highway to the capitol of the Yukon Territory, Whitehorse. Spent the night in the parking lot of a gas, truck stop, motel, restaurant.
