our campsite... surrounded by lodgepole pines After the Great Sandhills, we decided to head to The Cypress Hills Interprovincial Park (it is a park that is share between Saskatchewan and Alberta).
The first thing we noticed when we got to our campsite is the crazy trees, which are called logde pole pines (we think that they might use those trees to built log cabins eheheh). Anyways, we thought they were pretty cool because every tree was super tall, but the needles where only on the top trying to catch to sunlight. That night we decided to hit the hay early and get up early the next day. What a great view of the prairies.
In the morning we did a few really nice trails in the forsests there, and we also went to the highest elevation east of the rockies! That was pretty cool...
We also saw a Bald Butt... I mean Butte.... hahahahhahaahhahahahahahaahahahaha
That afternoon we were driving back from bald butt and we saw that there was a horseriding ranch, so we moseyed on in and asked if we could go for a ride. The price was right so we did... while we waited, the REAL COWBOY named Tyson showed us

Nige walking in the midst of the trees some sweet lassoo tricks. It was our first time to see a real cowboy, he even showed us some of his rodeo pictures.
It was Mels first horse ride, she reeaaally enjoyed it!! Nigel liked it alot too but... damn alergies. lol.
It was a great day and we really like the Sask. side. A great way to end our time in Saskatchewan. 😊
