Sleeping on a bed with a questionable mattress always proves to be an interesting sleep - Man with sore back. Luckily we were so tired from our busy day that we slept through most of the night but our bed was quite the experienced one. We had heard tales of days past when up to 21 people would spend the night in the cabin; and they all probably crashed in that one bed! At any rate, we were greeted promptly at 5AM by Kessler, who needed to use the facilities and again at 8:30AM by Wayne, who had kindly volunteered to cook a 5-star breakfast. Leaving Edmonton Every journey has a starting point. For our vacation trek, it was Edmonton, AB. Matt, having the previous few days off, packed and loaded the vehicle while Laura managed to sneak away from work early. While arguing over what Laura actually meant by 'leaving the city at noon', the Lancer (our vehicle of choice for the trip) backed down the driveway at 11:53AM. Our journey had begun! A quick pit-stop at Petro Canada saw us load up on fuel and we took off towards Lloydminster (or Lloyd-dumpster as the natives call it).
