We took the subway back downtown and walked through a part of the Eaton's Centre. A large area in downtown Montreal has underground shopping and connecting halls so one does not need to go outside during the winter. Even the Anglican Cathedral now has shopping under the church.

We exited to St. Catherine's Street which is one of the main thoroughfares. Large portions of the street are closed to vehicle traffic during the summer months.

There is now a large Arts complex with a Modern Art Museum, Opera House and the older Place des Arts.

We followed St. Catherine Street back to the loft. Tomorrow we head back to Dorval by bus to pick up the rental car.
