Au moment ou j'écris ce texte, il nous reste 3 jours, 6hres et 40 minutes avant notre départ.
Nous sommes de plus en plus excités et commençons à paniquer un ti ti peu. Ce soir, vendredi, nous fêtons la fin de la semaine de travail de Jean-Guy et le début de nos vacances - nous irons donc relaxer au resto - question de se détendre un peu avant de reprendre l'énervement samedi matin.
Beaucoup de p'tites choses à penser, des geu-gus quoi!
Nous avons pensé vous faire partager notre itinéraire en espérant vous faire mourir d'envie.... non, non vraiment - on n'est pas comme ça - mais vous allez tout de même probablement mourir d'envie et dire bande de chanceux. C'est ce que je penserais moi, de toute façon.
Alors voici ce que nous visiterons (horaire un peu modifié pour ne pas que ça soit trop long...
27-DAY OLD CHINA
01NOV SHANGHAI: Board transpacific flight from Vancouver. Cross International Dateline; arrive in Beijing in the afternoon of 02 Nov.
03NOV BEIJING: Walk on the Great Wall today the Wall is 7.8 meters in height and 5.8 meters in width. The wall stretches across China for about 4,000 miles; visit the Ming Tombs tucked away in rolling hills.
04NOV BEIJING: Tour of the Forbidden City; more than two-dozen emperors of two dynasties lived in this huge palace for over 500 years; visit beautiful Summer Palace.
05NOV BEIJING: Hutong tour on tricycle rickshaw to experience daily life of local Chinese; visit LiuLiChang market; free time in Beijing for shopping.
06NOV BEIJING-JINAN (TRAIN): Jinan is the provincial capital of Shandong Province; well known for its 120 bubbling natural springs. Tour of the beautiful Daming lake, Black Tiger Springs, and the Provincial Museum.
07NOV JINAN: Visit Baotu Spring, Qianfo Mountain, and Four Door Pagoda.
08NOV JINAN-QUFU-TAIAN (MT. TAISHAN): Scenic coach to ride to Qufu after breakfast. Qufu is the hometown of Confucius; visit the magnificent Confucius Temple, tour the Confucius Mansion and Confucius family cemetery. Then go to Mt. Taishan.
09NOVMT.TAISHAN- JINAN: Mt. Taishan is the most scared mountain in China with countless historical relics. Take cable car to the top of the mountain; visit Dai Temple at the foot of the mountain.
10NOV JINAN-XIAN (TRAIN): Morning visit Baotu Spring and Quancheng Square. Take a night train to Xian.
11NOV XIAN: Tour ancient City Wall and the Forest of Stelae.
12NOV XIAN: Tour of Terra Cotta Warriors Museum, the Huaqing Hot Springs and the Great Mosque of Xian. Enjoy a Tang Dynasty Music Show & dinner.
13NOV XIAN-GUILIN (FLIGHT): Guilin is the most scenic city in China if not the world; visit Duxiu Hill and Reed Flute Cave, one of the most extraordinary scenery in Guilin.
14NOV GUILIN-YANGSHUO: Li River cruise down to Yangshuo (about 5 hours) passing through uniquely shaped hills along the banks; Yangshuo is a small town with some good souvenir stalls, where it is easy and fun to bargain.
15NOV YANGSHUO-GUILIN: Yangshuo is an ancient city built during the Jin Dynasty (265-420); famous for its spectacular scenery of hills and rivers. The Lijiang and Tianjia rivers run by the town. Scenic spots in Yangshuo include Jianshan Mountain, Shutong Hill, Yangshuo Park, Bilian Feng,and Chuanyan Cave.
16NOV GUILIN-SHANGHAI (FLIGHT): Shanghai is China's largest city. It is China’s most important industrial and commercial center with a population of over 13 million. Visit Jade Buddha Temple; YuYuan Garden, European Styled BUND.
17NOV SHANGHAI-MT. HUANGSHAN (FLIGHT): Huangshan, known as the loveliest mountain of China; it is renowned for its magnificent scenery of many granite peaks and rocks emerging out of a sea of clouds. Visit of Tunxi Old Street in the city of Huangshan.
18NOV TUNXI-MT. HUANGSHAN: Take a cable car to Beihai & Xihan; hundred fantastic scenes of rocks, peaks, pines and clouds.
19NOV MT. HUANGSHAN: Continue to visit Xidi cun and Hongcun; back to Tunxi at night.
20NOV MT. HUANGSHAN: Visit YuPing scenic zone with Yuping Tower.
21NOV MT. HUANGSHAN-HANGZHOU: Take a cable car down then go to Hangzhou by coach. Hangzhou has a subtropical monsoon type climate with four quite distinct seasons.
22NOV HANGZHOU: The West Lake has been the subject of Chinese painters since the 6th century; city’s natural beauty extends beyond the lake. Visit of the Lingyin Temple, pagoda of six harmonies and a famous tea plantation.
23NOV HANGZHOU-SUZHOU (COACH): Suzhou, one of the oldest cities in China with a history of over 2,500 years; known as "the Venice of the East", it is most famous for its classical gardens, its location astride the Grand Canal, and its silk industry. Visit of the renowned Humble Administrator's Garden. Silk Factory, and Double Embroidery Research Institute.
24NOV: SUZHOU: Visit Tiger Hill, Blue Wave Pavilion, and Gardens.
25NOV:SUZHOU-ZHOUZHUANG-SHANGHAI: Zhouzhuang abounds with rivers and lakes. This ancient town has a history of more than 900 years with many houses built in the Ming and Qing Dynasties.
26NOV SHANGHAI: Free day in Shanghai.
27NOV SHANGHAI-VANCOUVER: Free morning then start journey home.
