Hi guys! Guess you are checking this out because I invited you to! Welcome to my blog. Why now? Just getting ready! I am technologically challenged and need to get up to speed as much as possible before I leave. Just about everything else is done: doc, dentist, optician, vaccinations, etc. So, now I start the blog. Today it is cold and snowing outside here in Laval. In Bolivia I imagine they are getting ready for summer and the frequent rain showers that are part and parcel of this season for them. Am I excited? Sure, more than I can express. This is where we say: I suck. How many times have I said...'I'm going to post pics of our truck and trailer'. Life, kids, it all gets in the way. Since I am seeing many of you tomorrow (Friday), I've decided to put it off until the weekend. That way, with all my many built in babysitters, I can take the time I need to take pics of said vehicle and living habitat, to then post...in the meantime, you've been spared a rant post that would have just been a terrible read. We took it on a first camp run in Montebello and after many a little technical hiccup (overcome for the most part), we seem to be ready for dress rehearsal number two this weekend in Ottawa. So yes - I'm excited, being the author or the blog I guess that is a given. I suppose it might be considered egotistical to think you'd all take the time to even read my babbling - it's not like I'm after the Pullitzer here or anything. So if you do happen to check us out from time to time - thanks for the fan club. If not don't feel bad 'cause I'm pretty much doing this as a narrative so I can associate the events (and not forget anything) and match it all back to our vids and pics. Yesterday Pascal finalized the purchase of our new camper!!! He's going to pick it up in Sebright this Thursday with the truck (having passed inspections with a minor coil problem is now ready to go!). We've visited CAA, made sure our travel insurance is all set, finalized last minute medical appts for the kids (vaccines, check ups, etc...), and everyone has their passport in order. We've also traded in some *ok most* of our Aeroplan miles (80 000 to be exact) for 800$ worth of Shell Gas Cards. We figure that will take us about 2000kms. At least part of the trip we plan to do in the Martimes. Speaking our itinerary, we've trimmed off Newfoundland and will stick to NS and NB and the Atlantic US Coast (the last one there will happen if all ... read more

Hi Folks - if you are getting this blast. then great and welcome to my official test run of our family travel blog. I was going to make one through our regular photobucket at www.photobucket.com/felixluccareneepascal (password: gosselin) however, I found the tool to be a bit incomplete from a map, location and blog perspective. So we are doing it this way instead. First off, we are leaving around July 15th. We'll be firming up that date and letting you know. So far we are doing New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Newfoundland. I'll be uploading photos and video as I go along with a map as well for each blog post.
