What a great way to start a new year... spending 7 days in the backcountry, skiing from hut to hut in a beautiful mountaineous area, with 2 good friends! We left on December 30, 2-3 days after a good snow storm in Southern Quebec. We couldn't have had better conditions, and the sun was there for most of the trip. Cold, and often windy but the "Traversée de Charlevoix" is in the forest for the most part so we were sheltered and didn't suffered from the cold. As long as we kept going! Maandag, 29 september 2008 Na Malbaie en de aangename B&B was het weer tijd om verder te gaan. Op het eerste zicht was het weer al wat beter, minder mistig dan de dag ervoor. Op weg naar een wilder natuurpark. Dit park had minder toegang tot water en andere faciliteiten waardoor we voor de eerste keer moesten betalen om een douche te nemen. Aangekomen aan het onthaal raadden de dames ons aan om het traject te bewandelen dat enkele kilometers aan een stuk omhoog ging. Als we alles doen dan klimmen we een goede kilometer in hoogte over een afstand van 3 à 4 km. Met wat water, enkele appels en een pak 'gezonde' koekjes begonnen we aan onze tocht. Pis j’ai décidé de le faire en chiac, peut-être que mes next ones seront différents J’ai passé un weekend à Baie-Saint-Paul assez interressant. First of all, j’ai été avec une bonne amie à moi de Moncton, Julie Caissie, qu’était venu me rencontrer à Montréal pour quelques jours avant de partir pour Baie-Saint-Paul (BSP).
