Travelling through the rain again this morning after a good night spent drinking Bacardi coolers/beer, eating popcorn and watching Montreal unfortunately get beaten in the ice hocky, we made our way to Prince Edward Island. Upon reaching the vast bridge that spans the island and mainland we found it incased in fog. Couldn't see a thing on the way over and when we got to the island it was still wet and very cold. We drove around the island until we reached the Anne of Green Gables museum which is the old farmhouse that belonged to Lucy M. Montgomerys uncle and aunt and which was the inspiration for her many novels.
It was a lovely old house and apart from the house itself we were treated to the sight of a Blue Jay building a nest in the eaves and a Bald Eagle sitting on a fence post nearby.
We continued on around the island passing various farms and inlets until arriving at our Bed and breakfast for the next two nights. It is in a beautifully and newly restored old house in the main city of Charlottetown.
