Toronto airport (code YYZ?) is dated and does not have electronic immigration devices. We waited impatiently in a slow line while others whizzed past in other queues. It was quite warm and we did not even need the jackets that we were earlier worried would not be warm enough!

Our home exchange partners are Peter and Penny Wilkins. Peter picked us up at about 9pm and drove us home, some 20 minutes north of the CBD. We had a chat and a wine then P&P left us here and they went to stay with their son.

We learnt a bit more about Major League Baseball. The end of the 162-game regular season is nigh. The only Canadian team - the Toronto Blue Jays, are currently coming second to the Boston Red Sox who are easily leading the American League East conference and have already qualified for the finals. Penny said most Canadians are very passionate about ice-hockey and baseball, and there is great excitement when their teams make the finals.
