The Great One
A display about Wayne Gretzky, the greatest hockey player of all time
When I was 5, I lived in Canada for a couple of years and became a big fan of Ice Hockey, so I was very excited to be visiting the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto. Rachel wasnt quite as excited as me understandably!!
The Hall of Fame was basically a collection of a lot of hockey memorabilia, shirts, trophies, equipment etc etc, all worn by famous players in famous matches. I was particularly happy to see alot of stuff about Wayne Gretzky (the greatest hockey player ever) who was in his prime and playing for my local team, the Edmondton Oilers, when we lived in Canada. We watched a short film about the history of the Stanley Cup (the biggest prize in hockey bar the Olympic gold medal) which helped Rach understand the game a bit more.
The highlight of the day for me was touching and being photographed with the atual Stanley Cup. The whole day brought back a lot of memories of when I was a child in Canada, and it was really interesting to see everything in the Hall of Fame.
With the weather so nice, we had a lovely walk along the harbourfront

In the evening we had a Korean BBQ where we were giving raw meat and fish and each table has a mini BBQ in the middle and you cook your own food, delicious! We also, finally, had a drink at the Panorama bar on the 52nd floor of a building in Toronto, the views were spectacular and the drinks were lovely!
