It was whirlwind. What just happened? I don't fully understand how my two months in the Canadian Central Arctic vanished so quickly. How does time do that? Is time less relevant at these latitudes? Does a captivating scene speed up time? Does the solitude of silence and emptiness accelerate time? Nunavutmut tunngasugitsi - Welcome to Nunavut. The season was really vivid - the colours, the... Once again, Thanks for your post and photos!
My wife and I love the high latitudes. Just something that can't be fully explained unless one experiences it. And at that maybe only some folks. All our trips to date have been with Lindblad. Suggestions on best ways to explore the Canadian high arctic? Outfitters? We don't need pampering or luxury but we are getting on in years. My wife is Canadian (Quebec) and wants to see these parts of Canada where she has never been. Regards

Outfitters
I work for 'Quark Expeditions' and as such would highly recommend them. There are many outfitters, however. Depending on your interests, whether it be by sea, air or land. 'Weber Arctic' is also highly recommended!

The Sea Ice

Follow that Road
What an exhilarating blog Dave. Tingles my soul with scythe like icy cold and blasts of steamy hot emotions that only hit in places most remote. Fabulous pics...really takes me there.

Tea Time

Tea Time
Some of our best memories are tea or coffee time in remote locales...an intimate sharing hard to repeat...the satisfaction of hot liquid down the throat that not only warms the bod but the pleasure of taking a moment whatever may come. Great pic!

That was without a doubt the most comfy chair in the governor’s house. Needs a little cleaning before the next owners move in. It was abandoned in 1948.

My own insignificance
I have this feeling in many locations as I look around at the stark beauty and I am mystified by all that surrounds. Those wooly beats look grand. Hopefully, some day. Enchanted by the Artic. Thanks for taking us along. See you soon.
