We were up and down to breakfast early. We then checked out of our hotel room and walked the few steps to the train station. We caught a train to Gatwick Airport from which we will travel to Canada on Westjet. It is a crazy terminal as they do not tell you your departure gate till ten minutes before boarding! We had an early lunch before we boarded, as meals are no longer provided unless you pay for them and they are usually crap! It was a full flight and we ended up with aisle seats across from each other. The plane was freezing cold and lots of us complained, but they said it was an old plane and the heating did not always function well! Being cold made the 10.5 hour flight seem even longer. We were not at all impressed with Westjet for international travel! On arrival to Vancouver we got through customs quickly only to find our Westjet flight to Kelowna was delayed! We had dinner and waited for our flight to be called. By now we had been awake almost 24 hours! Once we arrived in Kelowna we caught a taxi to our condo. Not even 30 minutes later we were sound asleep in our big comfy bed.

Thank you for following us along on our blog. We had a wonderful summer in France and saw many amazing sites. From climbing up to ancient Cathar castles, to kayaking on the Dordogne River, to touring Bordeaux in a cute little 2CV. It was all fun and full of great memories. We really enjoyed the Home Exchange experience and at the moment we are wondering where we will head off to next year.
