It's taken me a couple of days to be able to write. As I'm sure you've heard, there was a fatal accident here in Whistler at the start of the Games. I can't really write about it for security issues, but it was awful. The feelings that overshadowed the opening ceremonies, the darkness that descended on the Athlete's Village, and the shock that went through the clinic was unreal. It's getting better as the days go on, but it was truly horrendous.


But, things go on, and the Olympic spirit prevails. Was watching the ladies' moguls last night when we just lost the gold medal. I thought we had it there for a brief second in time.

Am off to Tofino for a few days as of tonight to hang with a very good friend of mine, will be kind of grateful for the break, my head and heart are still a bit lost.
