I hope everyone is well back in Aussie. Pity about the freezing conditions plaguing many parts of Tasmania. It's a real tragedy that Moira and I are missing all of that! We finally experienced some absolute scorchers here, mainly when we revisited Merritt in the interior. 35 degrees plus, we could do nothing but find some shade and consume some nice cold Smirnoffs by the cart. Jeez, this is a tough life we lead. Thats enough of making you all jealous. I hope you still continue to read about our adventures. It must be entertaining a few of you, particularly the last one re. Should have been the state of Columbia. It was called the territory of Columbia until it became a state ... read more

Upon leaving Port Angeles in the States to drive up to Vancouver, Canada, we had a slight mishap. We decided to check the oil before setting off, and decided to top it up a little. I started to pour the "oil" in and then exclaimed "Cool! It's bright green!" before realising that instead of oil, we had filled up with anti-freeze - whoooops! This has got to be one of our dizziest car mistakes yet! Luckily it all ended well with an oil change in the local garage - phew! Luna lives! Spent a few days in Vancouver doing errands like getting our visa for China sorted ... read more
