heatwave!

Hi all,

sorry it has been so long since our last blog, for those who don't know we had to relocate from our crazy landlords house and now we are with Yanika and Phil and their baby Melodie a couple of blocks from where we were. It has been much more fun since being here because Yanika takes pride in showing us around to the sights. It has been the hottest month ever in BC, eerily like Melbourne last summer, there have been bushfires and all the records have been broken. We have been swimming a lot, Yanika took us to Bridal Falls, a nearby waterfall with icy water from the top of the mountains, to a lake up in the hills where we had a picnic and went canoeing and to a super cool big waterslide park, where the rides were so high and so steep that you san hardly feel the slide behind you and it just feels like you are falling. when you get to the bottom you have the most atomic wedgies of all time and your bathers might be 100 metres behind you. Very extreme. WE also went to the movies and saw funny people but we got very lost trying to get to the town and it ended up being about a 6 hour round trip.
This weekend should be our last weekend at work, its the big poker run this weekend in town where people come from all over in their fancy raceboats to race around the 40 mile lake to collect cards in order to get the best hand and win the jackpot. There are also two weddings on so it will be a crazy weekend at work.

On monday we are going to go camping in the nearby wine country, for drinks, fresh berries and tubing in the river. On thursday we

on thursday...
the internet kept cutting out and i had already lost the blog several times which is probably why it was written lacking any lusture. on thursday we are going white water rafting, the end. no we did not get married in bridal falls

finally, a reply!
Bryan and Lis are here with us at the beach house and we can finally respond to yr emails. Sorry we haven't contacted u earlier but neither of us has the internet at home. Glad 2 see u looking so happy and obviously having fun in yr free time. We love reading yr emails and picturing u over there having gr8 adventures. Some might say that we are living vicariously through you. as nothing too exciting is happening here. The Swans have missed the finals for the first time in 7 yrs and we just don't know what to do with ourselves! We can't believe that you've been left in charge of a small child Vincent-what on earth was that little mite's mother thinking?! Grandma wants to come over and join u for the rest of the winter-she could do with a bit of canadian heat, plus she could purchase a new pair of bathers in Hawaii on the way through.
