Today, a trip up Mount Revelstoke, into the National Park, on the FREE shuttle from Grizzly Plaza. No payment, no gas bill, NO VAN! So thanks to Parks Canada and City of Revelstoke for getting this together. Now, they gotta get the word out so people USE it! Yeh, a bus that takes you and all your stuff up the mountain from 1500 ft elevation up to the meadows at 6000 feet. Now, the SMOKE part.... Views in the subalpine were down to about 3 kilometres in smoke today. No wind. Warm temps. A eerie lack of movement. Complete stillness under a sun trying hard to penetrate the gauze. A four hour return hike from the summit to Miller Lake and then the trail up to the Miller/Jade Lakes col. Marmot and Pika whistles. No bear sign although there has been a lone grizzly down at Jade Lakes this week. The attached photos tell all.

Beautiful!
Dear Brian: Thanks for your recent message. The pictures are great. I can see why you love the mountains so much. This is a lovely to keep in touch. Please note my new email address. I signed up for High Speed with Aliant and will close off the AOL connection at the end of this month. Did you receive your tee shirts O.K.? It was great to have you at the Reunion. Love, Kay
