Our trip across the endless prairie continued today. We headed west and went around the city of Regina and headed north toward Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. FYI: I consider this to be the best named city ever. We visited the Western Development Museum, which is a weird name for basically a museum about when the settlers came west. It's really odd looking at their history, because it mimics our midwest history, except offset later by 50 or so years. Just imagine all the people moving west into Missouri and Kansas on railroads instead of wagons.
Anyways, after Saskatoon, we just headed straight west for many hours until we arrived in Edmonton and met our first couch surfing host at a mall. She took us back to her place and her husband had cooked us a great dinner. We talked a bit and then went to watch her team practice of Aussie Rules Football (or 'footie'😉. It's a sport that uses an American football-shaped ball, except it seems a lot more like rugby.
Anyways, we had our first good nights sleep and that was what really counted.
